‘Dilemma’ unfolds with a powerful nude female figure at the center of the composition – her body dominant, her presence deeply rooted in labor and the natural world. While her head is present and visible, it remains understated, almost fading into the background, suggesting that her identity is defined by the physical and generative work she performs. Her large purple feet, rendered in rich tones, ground her visually and symbolically – a woman who stands firm, creates, and endures. The cow and the tree behind her appear as still witnesses to a life of care and daily rhythm. Here, the woman both emerges from and dissolves into the landscape, inseparable from the environment she nurtures.
