Studio conversation

Artists in Dialogue — Field Notes

The Artists in Dialogue series records extended conversations between FORA artists and invited researchers. Sessions are edited for clarity but retain the rhythm of studio visits and late-night calls across time zones.

Early themes include how painters negotiate heritage imagery, when figuration becomes a political gesture, and how material choices—oil, textile, digital composite—carry memory differently. Rather than definitive essays, these notes stay provisional: they mark questions we return to when mounting the next exhibition.

This dummy article demonstrates the article layout—hero title, image column, prose column, and related artists/artworks—while final copy is prepared for the live research hub.

Additional transcripts and audio excerpts will be published here as the research series continues.
