Nazrin Mammadova

Identifying with metamodernism, Nazrin Mammadova approaches her practice as both artist and intermediary – engaging in an ongoing exploration of selfhood, the phenomenology of human existence, and the ontological ties between humanity and the cosmos. Through forms and discourses that connect the personal and the collective, she projects energy, vibration, and universal frequencies in works that articulate the symbiotic relationship between the individual and the surrounding environment.

Within this trajectory, her abstract compositions unfold as layered cartographies of metaphysical landscapes – complex terrains where chromatic fields, gestural mark-making, and spatial dynamics converge to indicate intangible energies and states. Initially rooted in conceptual art, Nazrin soon moved beyond its confines, shifting from searching for the “I” to fully inhabiting it, with each experience expanding her methods, perspectives, and media.
