In ‘Childhood memory’, Huseynzada engages memory as a framework for the composition. Executed in acrylic on linen, the composition draws from the artist’s earliest visual impressions, childhood sketches reimagined through a saturated palette. Contrasted hues converge with intensity, evoking the sensorial imprint of early memory. Objects and forms are deliberately isolated, echoing the mind’s tendency - especially in childhood - to retain fragments rather than cohesive narratives. Memory here is not constructed from what was objectively seen, but from what was selectively retained.
