'Dream Walker' is structured through a multiplicity of viewpoints, presenting overlapping perspectives that resist singular fixation. The composition reflects a perceptual logic aligned with dream states, where forms remain in flux, continuously shifting. The cat, positioned as the central subject, becomes the site through which this instability is articulated. The work holds concurrent states, suggesting presence while implying movement across unseen layers. As the artist notes, “to watch a cat sleep is to suspect it is somewhere else entirely, walking through layers of consciousness that we can only guess at”. The painting sustains this simultaneity, allowing the image to remain open and the viewer’s perception to shift.

Central to Ghavami’s practice is the creation of protective environments and dream-like states. Visually, her paintings unfold with a pronounced sense of fluid continuity: forms do not end so much as they become. A human hand holding an animal may gradually dissolve into its fur or skin, while the animal merges into the surrounding environment. These transitions occur without rupture, guided by an internal logic that resists hierarchy or separation.
