Sahar Ghavami Till forever falls apart (2022) framed: 50h × 30w cm Acrylic on canvas
Taking the central position in 'Till forever falls apart', two figures remain engaged in a slow, continuous movement, dancing as the surrounding field appears to burn and dissolve at its edges. Positioned without defined features, they turn around a central fire. It holds a dual condition, registering as a source of warmth, and as a sign of collapse. The composition directs attention toward the relation between the figures. Their gesture of holding structures the scene: one stabilizes the other, while both remain oriented toward a shared center. No clear boundary separates their bodies from the space, the instability of the environment frames their embrace. As the artist notes, "this image returns from the recurring landscape of dreams". The image holds at a point of continuation - "when everything external falls away, when forever proves finite and the chaos closes in, the protective embrace of someone who chooses you is the last thing standing".
